You deal with me directly. Always.

At a large firm your matter moves between trainees, paralegals and case handlers often with no single person who knows your story from start to finish. At Sharifi Legal, you have one point of contact: me.

I read your initial enquiry. I review your documents. I draft your application. If your case goes to a hearing, I represent you. When you call or message, you speak to the person who knows your file.

This isn't a marketing promise. It's simply how I work, and it's why I keep my caseload to a size I can manage properly.

I'm an SRA-regulated solicitor, bound by strict professional obligations — including the duty to act in your best interests and to keep your information confidential. Being regulated by the SRA also gives you access to independent complaints and redress routes that OISC advisers cannot offer.

Questions I'm often asked

A few common questions clients usually ask before moving forward with their case.

Ask Question
  • Do I need a solicitor or can I use an immigration adviser?Show answer

Both solicitors and OISC-regulated advisers can assist with immigration matters. The key difference is regulation. As a solicitor I am regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), which sets rigorous standards of conduct, requires professional indemnity insurance and provides a formal complaints route through the Legal Ombudsman. Many clients find this level of accountability important, particularly for high-stakes applications.

  • How much does it cost?Show answer

Fees depend on the complexity of your matter. I'll always be upfront about cost before any work begins — fixed fees where possible, hourly rates where the work is unpredictable. See the Fees page for a fuller breakdown.

  • Can you help if my visa has been refused?Show answer

Yes. Refusals require quick analysis of the decision letter and tight deadlines. I review the refusal, advise on whether an appeal, administrative review or fresh application is the strongest route, and act for you through to resolution.

  • I'm outside London. Can you still help?Show answer

Yes — most of my work is done remotely. Documents are reviewed and shared securely online, calls are scheduled to suit your timezone, and in-person meetings are arranged when truly needed.

  • How quickly can you take on my case?Show answer

I aim to reply to every enquiry within four business hours. If I have capacity, instructions can usually be taken within a few days. If your matter is urgent, say so in your message and I'll prioritise it.
